<reviewbody>This "Row Jimmy" has to be the best I'd ever seen and heard. I remember it being extremely moving and melancholy, almost overpowering, with the sun streaming through the trees at E. Troy. Listen to how beautiful Jerry's guitar solos are. I remember the remainder of the '86 Alpine shows were cool.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I'll be damned if I've ever been able to find a weak performance of this song, and that certainly holds true here. The Grateful Dead had a remarkable ability to turn each song at their shows into an individual statement, as if every selection for the evening was a single piece of a much fuller story. With that came an enormous commitment to the message that each one of those parts contributed. And finally, with this track in particular, was the incalculably huge presence of Jerry and his unique gift for the theatrical, the potential to realize the dramatic impact within all of the songs. Interpret "Forget about the dead you left, they will not follow you" however you wish-the fact is that no one in the realm of musical performance has ever or will ever be able to surpass the emotional depth that he and they could touch within the hearts of their audience.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>1986...not exactly known as one of the Dead's better years, but I must say they do a nice job on this one. Very tight! The quality of this recording is not great, though. I enjoyed the Baby Blue at the end, and the Uncle John's Band, but little else really smoked.
